Mr Mohammed Shafiq, CEO of the Ramadhan Foundation comments:
The Ramadhan Foundation joins the Nation and the Commonwealth in marking the death of the Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip aged 99, we offer our condolences to Her Majesty the Queen and members of the Royal Family at this sad time for the nation.
Prince Philip served with distinction in World War II and over the decades supported dozens of charities which changed lives for the better. It is right and proper that we reflect on his extraordinary lifetime of service; the contribution of Prince Philip’s generation has shaped the world for the better.
Across the Commonwealth thousands of Muslims, Hindus and Sikhs served alongside others in the World Wars and our communities contribution to the UK has strengthened the nation.
It is a moment of real sadness for Her Majesty who has lost the love of her life for 73 years, together they have served the nation and today we send our love and support to the Queen.
